I grew up in Asheboro, on Beane Street no less, surrounded by family. My brother Bill and I were best friends in our small neighborhood. I attended Guy B. Teachey Elementary, South Asheboro Middle School-Class President 1979, and on to Asheboro High School class of 1982. My absolute passion was competitive sports.
