Randolph Community College’s Student Government Association won five awards at the North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association (N4CSGA) Spring Conference at the Durham Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center on April 7-9. RCC Interior design student is finalist in Bienenstock Furniture Library competition

Randolph Community College Interior Design student Heath Smith of Siler City was one of the finalists in the Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library annual interior design and furniture design competition for 2017. In the interior design category, entrants were asked to design a skybox for a music company incorporating commercial and residential components. Among the elements, the entry needed to include the company’s logo, its musical style and sustainable furnishings. Beginner’s horseback riding course starts January 14 at RCC in Archdale

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to learn to ride a horse, Randolph Community College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division has the course for you. “Horseback Riding I” will be offered from 1-4 p.m. on Saturdays, Jan. 14-Feb. 18. The six-week course, which will be held at the Circle C Equestrian Center, 2574 Sweetbriar Road, Sophia, will provide horseback riding lessons for beginners or those needing refresher training. Randolph Community College was awarded a Gold Medallion Award at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 2 Conference recently. The 1st-place award was for the Randolph Community College and RCC Foundation magazine. Colleges were asked to submit any two consecutive issues within the entry year for the magazine category. RCC submitted the fall 2015 and summer 2016 magazines. The NCMPR District 2 Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges in District 2.
